New sources are reporting that Edward James Olmos was a part of protests in Mexico yesterday against the Mexican president's war on the drug cartels. Mr. Olmos was photographed marching with poet Javier Sicilia, whose son was found dead in a car with six others last week.
According to reports, the war on the cartels has claimed more than 37,000 lives since late 2006. Protests were apparently scheduled across Mexico and in such places as New York, Barcelona and Buenos Aires.
