My Take

I'm not generally a fan of mafia/mob flicks but I did enjoy "Bonanno: A Godfather's Story", as it explores the roots of the men who created the mafia itself, and no so much exploits their, well, exploits

Much to my delight, Edward James Olmos had loads of screentime and he's surrounded by an able cast. The film, definitely has that TV-movie feel, but it certainly didn't stop me from watching learning a bit more about the beginnings of the mob, or delighting in Mr. Olmos' performance. He is appropriately patient and calculating, providing an almost fatherly presence until his character is cornered.
