Robert Downey Jr. may play Iron Man on the big screen, but it's Bodie Olmos who's building a reputation as a real-life iron man as he takes on yet another athletic feat.
Back in March, Bodie ran his first marathon, finishing the grueling 26.2 mile run in gusting winds, rain and cold with an impressive time and ranking. Just two days ago OlmosPerfect.com announced his intentions to compete in July in his first triathlon in 25 years. Between now and then, however, he's apparently decided to push himself further, taking on yet another event -- a 100-mile bike race in Ojai, Calif.
Bodie has entered the Hammerhead Century race, which will be held June 4. The start time is 7 a.m. local time and the race is projected to end somewhere around dusk.
In addition to preparing himself for the bike race and triathlon, Bodie also coaches a class for Snail's Pace Running Shop in Pasadena. "My 201 class will be running the Pasadena Half Marathon on May 15th," Bodie said. "I am so proud of them all!"
